The mission of the Village of Reeseville Police Department is to provide the protection, promote security and safety to its citizens and visitors. 
Through education and service the Reeseville Police department can provide for the needs of the citizens and visitors.

A historical police duty: The first lights on the village streets were made up of a small kerosene lamp in a glass globe.
The lamps were perched on a ten foot pole and the village marshal had to light them every evening and extinguish them when he left his beat in the morning.
